Wednesday morning, Elder senior basketball player Ryan Custer signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Wright State University.
Custer made an unofficial visit to the campus in early August and received an offer from head coach Billy Donlon.
The sharp-shooting forward helped Elder to a 22-3 record and a share of the GCL South championship last season. Elder coach Joe Schoenfeld can’t say enough about Custer.
“He has spent a lot of time in the gym and weight room growing into the well-rounded player he is today,” Schoenfeld said.
“I am so happy for him that he will now be able to follow his dream of playing college basketball, and doing so close to home at Wright State with such a first-class coach. I think in this setting Ryan’s best basketball days are still to come.”
